Black with an orange band, this watch was built for the great outdoors.
The GA-1000 is a watch Casio created specifically for those who liked the wide open air. Packed with features, it is also very well protected, allowing you to carry it anywhere!
When you’re outside, your watch is usually very vulnerable. A normal watch can get scratched up for any number of reasons. Casio used to just go with a mineral glass (which, admittedly, was enough thanks to its scratch resistance. In this case though, they went with a combination mineral/spherical glass.
If, while you’re exploring, you feel like taking a dip in the ocean or ravine, you don’t need to take your watch off. It has 200m water resistance, meaning you can swim with it without worrying about the watch being flooded.
With a digital compass built into this watch, you can explore to your heart’s content, and not have to worry about getting lost.

Good watch but could do with some improvements review by Gavin on 3/10/2016
Love the watch with the exception of two things. First, the temperature gauge is not that accurate and is impacted by body temperature. This means when i want to know the temp I have to take the watch off for about 10-15 minutes otherwise I'll get a mixture of my body temperature and the temperature outside/inside/wherever i am at the time. Secondly, the digital readout is a bit on the small side and can be hard to read. OTher than that thanks for the features!
Good looking watch review by Marv on 2/10/2016
The watch is large, but not as heavy or "chunky" as I expected so it doesn't look oversized on my wrist. The functions are easier to use than my lasts G-Shock, which is nice, since you don't always have the manual with you. I travel a lot, so being able to switch from home city to world time is a big help.
Well that's nice to have! review by Julian on 30/08/2016
Recently got a warning that the battery was about to run out. That's nice to have, usually my only warning is the screen going blank!
