Casio used to just go with a mineral glass (which, admittedly, was enough thanks to its scratch resistance. In this case though, they went with a combination mineral/spherical glass. 

If, while you’re exploring, you feel like taking a dip in the ocean or ravine, you don’t need to take your watch off. It has 200m water resistance, meaning you can swim with it without worrying about the watch being flooded. 

With a digital compass built into this watch, you can explore to your heart’s content, and not have to worry about getting lost.
